BOTOX AND FİLLERS
If you want to go back in time and correct fine lines on the face, Botox or Filler injections may be your first choice for fresher, younger looking skin.
What is Botox?
Botox is the brand name for an injectable neurotoxin used in cosmetic beauty treatments to block nerve signals to facial muscles. When a muscle is directly injected with this neurotoxin, it temporarily paralyzes the targeted muscle. The paralyzed muscle no longer receives the nervous messages which ask it to contract in response to our most frequently expressed emotions, which makes it possible to avoid wrinkles which become more pronounced with movement. Wrinkles on your skin are reduced and your skin looks younger and brighter.
This treatment is one of the most frequently applied and considered to be the safest medical cosmetic procedures.
What is the difference between Botox and filler?
Over time, people will develop fine lines and wrinkles and the skin on their face will start to look less plump. The number of wrinkles you get is partly genetic, but mostly affected by external factors like sun exposure, smoking, diet, and lifestyle. Sun exposure weakens collagen and elastic skin tissue, causing sagging and wrinkling. Over the years, the face loses volume due to the natural reduction in bones and fat that occurs with age.
Botox injections and skin fillers serve different purposes to help minimize the visible effects of aging:
Botox softens the kinetic lines created by movement by preventing muscles from contracting while talking, chewing, or making facial expressions. Especially when this is applied by someone who is not well trained in the latest techniques, it can cause a slightly less active appearance on our face, as our use of mimic muscles will decrease when expressing our emotions.
Dermal fillers soften wrinkles due to loss of volume and help plump "perforated" areas of the face, such as the cheeks, where facial volume is lost during the aging process. They can also help smooth sunken scars and plump lips. It is a known fact that when the loads are applied by an unqualified person, overfilling and other complications can occur and it may be insufficient to deal with the associated problems.
What areas of the face can Botox injections be applied to?
Botulinum injections are used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles in various parts of the face;
Crow's feet at the outer corners of the eyes,
forehead wrinkles,
Vertical and horizontal lines between the eyebrows,
the lines at the back of the nose called the bone line,
clenching and grinding of the teeth called bruxism,
It can be used in the wrinkles around the mouth, also called smokerline.
When can we see results from Botox?
The effects of Botox are not immediately visible because it takes time for Botox to start working and relaxing the muscles. Although results vary from person to person, in general, the effects of anti-wrinkle injections will start to be felt 2 to 5 days after the muscles under the skin begin to relax. The best results will be seen approximately 2-3 weeks after the administration of the injections, when fine lines and wrinkles are significantly reduced. The results are subtle and natural, leaving you looking more rested and younger.
