Non-surgical Treatment for Hemorrhoids
There are homeopathic remedies that can help relieve mild symptoms of hemorrhoids. Patients can take warm baths, apply warm compresses to the area, and make dietary changes that can soften the stool to prevent further irritation. If these treatments do not work, patients can seek additional treatment at our clinic.

Mild to moderate cases of hemorrhoids tend to respond well to non-surgical treatments. Our doctors can recommend non-surgical medical treatment options such as:

Special creams or lotions,
medicated wipes,
suppositories,
steroids
, pain relief,
surgical treatment of hemorrhoids If
the hemorrhoids have not responded to non-surgical treatment methods, we may recommend surgical treatment. We offer a range of surgical treatments for hemorrhoids that are minimally invasive but still very effective.

Some of the minimally invasive surgical options available to patients include :

Injection sclerotherapy: During this procedure, the drug is injected directly into the veins. This causes the veins to constrict and stick together, which should relieve inflammation and irritation. Infrared coagulation: During this procedure, a heating tool is applied to the hemorrhoidal tissues. This causes scar tissue to form, which will block blood flow for the hemorrhoids to shrink and stop bleeding. Hemorrhoid ligation: During this procedure, rubber bands are wrapped around certain veins to cut off blood flow to the internal hemorrhoids. Without blood supply, the internal hemorrhoid should shrink considerably. Most patients respond well to one of these minimally invasive surgical procedures. The patient often notices an immediate improvement in their hemorrhoid symptoms, but the condition almost always resolves within a week or two after treatment.

In rare cases where hemorrhoids persist, our doctors can perform a hemorrhoidectomy. During this procedure, the swollen veins of the hemorrhoid are tied and the hemorrhoid is surgically removed.

The anal area may be sore for two to four weeks after this procedure, but it will effectively relieve the symptoms of hemorrhoids.
